● Your SEO blind spot

93%

of French consumers read reviews before buying

Ifop, January 2026

Your best customers never leave a review. Unless you ask.

Without prompting, your most satisfied customers disappear. Meanwhile, the competitor who collects builds the volume and freshness that Google and AIs read as a signal. We close that blind spot by triggering the request at every order.

● Definition

What is answer engine optimization (AEO), and how is it different from SEO and GEO?

Answer engine optimization (AEO) is the work of becoming the short, direct answer that search engines and AI assistants show when someone asks a question. Generative engine optimization (GEO) is narrower: getting your brand named inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity. SEO is the older discipline of ranking your pages in Google's results list.

The three read much of the same public information about your store, including what customers say about it. Stars in search results usually come from review markup on your pages (see Google's documentation on review snippets), while AI assistants can read ratings and review text published on platforms like Google and Trustpilot. Nobody can promise a result, but a store with few or old reviews gives these engines less to work with than a store with many recent ones.

  • ✓

    SEO: rank in Google's results

Shows in the results list. Reviews can add stars and feed local ranking.

  • ✓

GEO: get named in AI answers

Shows in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity answers. Public ratings and review text are among the sources they can read.

  • ✓

    AEO: be the short answer

Shows as the featured answer or AI summary. Reviews back up the claim that your store is a safe pick.

● SEO · GEO · AEO

Three surfaces where your reviews build your reputation.

SEO ranks you in results. GEO aims to get you named by LLMs. AEO aims to make you the short answer they display. Rich Snippets, AI Overviews, ChatGPT or Perplexity responses: reviews are one of the signals they read.

● How it works

Three steps to turn every order into an organic signal.

No workflow to maintain. The sequence fires automatically at every order.

01

Collect: at the right moment, on the right channel

SMS, WhatsApp or email. Review Collect triggers the review request right after delivery, when satisfaction is at its peak. That timing is what drives response rates up.

02

Distribute: to the public platform you choose

Every customer gets the request. Customers who rate you highly are then redirected to one public platform at a time: Google, Trustpilot or Avis Vérifiés. You set the split, and the customer always chooses whether to publish.

03

Activate: fresh public proof for Google and AI search

Recent, well-rated reviews are among the signals Google and AI search read when they show or compare stores. A steady flow keeps that proof fresh.

● Results by surface

What your visibility looks like, surface by surface.

Every published review adds to your local reputation.

Volume, freshness and rating are among the signals Google reads for local results and star displays. Shoppers also see the review dates, so a review from last week and one from three years ago do not say the same thing about you.

  • ✓Stars can show under your URL when your site is eligible
  • ✓Local results: review freshness is one of the signals
  • ✓Reviews on public platforms that Google can read

● Organic SEO

Google reads your reviews. Not just your customers.

Your reviews don't just reassure the hesitant buyer. Google reads them too, and stars can appear in your results when your site is eligible. Shoppers see the rating and the review count before they click, which a plain blue link does not show.

Frequency matters as much as volume. A steady stream of recent reviews often carries more weight than a stock of old ones. The words customers use count too, and that is how your reviews affect SEO, GEO and AEO. For how AI Overviews treat site content, see Google's guide to AI features and your website. Review Collect asks at every order, so your customers don't have to think about it.

● GEO

AI answers can name your competitors. When they have more recent reviews than you.

Your buyers no longer compare ten websites. More and more of them ask ChatGPT or Gemini a question and follow the brand it names. If your competitors have more recent public reviews than you, they give those models more to work with. Our guide to generative engine optimization for e-commerce covers the rest.

Review Collect sends the review request to every customer after the order. Customers who rate you highly are then redirected to one platform at a time: Google, Trustpilot or Avis Vérifiés. You set the split, and the customer always chooses whether to publish.

Public reviews are one of the sources LLMs can read to compare merchants

● AEO · GEO · SEO

AEO, GEO and SEO: what changes for a store

For a store, the three come down to the same raw material: recent, well-rated reviews on platforms that engines can crawl.

Review Collect sends the request to every customer after each order, then redirects those who rate you highly to one platform you choose: Google, Trustpilot or Avis Vérifiés. You decide the split. The customer always chooses whether to publish. Before you launch a campaign, read Google's rules on soliciting reviews.

The same reviews also work as social proof on your pages and in your PPC ads.

● Check your AI visibility

How do you check what ChatGPT says about your store?

AI perception asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Mistral and Perplexity the questions a real buyer would ask, then scores your brand out of 100 for each model. You see which models recommend you, which ones warn buyers away, and which complaints keep coming back, with an action plan to improve.
